Parents say punishment
on school bus extreme ALEPPO, Pa.:
A school bus driver who punished rowdy elementary school pupils by closing all the bus windows and turning up the heat has resigned. Dennis Barnhart resigned Friday after parents complained to school officials in southwestern Pennsylvania about the treatment. " I believe he endangered the lives of all the children on that bus," said parent Betty Clay, adding she heard that some children vomited and one passed out. More than 40 students were riding home from Aleppo Elementary School on Wednesday when Barnhart told them to quiet down. After they continued to be noisy, he closed the windows and turned up the heat, the children told their parents. "As far as we're concerned, it was an error in this guy's judgment," said superintendent Charles Rembold. |
