Chiba plays Terry Tsuguri, a hired killer whose fighting style consists of eye gouging, skull cracking, genital tearing, throat ripping and some of the most brutal chops you'll ever see. Watching Sonny Chiba in this film is something to behold - he grunts and contorts like a crazed beast, his fighting style has no grace it's plain sheer brute force. Tsuguris' motto is, IF YOU'VE GOT TO FIGHT...FIGHT DIRTY! which is exactly what he does. If he is outsized or outnumbered look for Terry to dispose of his adversaries in the quickest and most brutal of fashion. Terry will go for the throat, eyes, and testicles ripping and tearing usually holding up the freshly torn piece of flesh in his clutched hands.

Besides how violent the character of Terry Tsuguri is, he is a straight up bastard! Early in the film when a sister/brother team hire Terry and don't have the money to pay up, Terry brutally beats them both explaining that the girl must prostitute herself until she pays him his full sum! Soon Terry is fighting with the brother (who kung fu kicks his own ass out a 12 story building!) than turns to whup his sister!

In The Streetfighter, Terry takes on a Yakuza gang that kidnaps a young heir with hopes of forcing her to sign over her inheritance to the gangsters. Terry's goal is to make whatever move will best benefit his own greedy ass and decides to do battle with the Yakuza, who send out many assassins to rid of the pesky brawler. Many Kung Fu kicks later, Terry settles the score in the final fight, the infamous battle where a shot and badly injured Terry brutally rips out the windpipe of his adversary - laughing as he shows us the fleshy mass in his hands!
